National Film Board of Canada ~ Hinterland

I recently discovered a digitally archived series of brief exerpts that were a cornerstone of any Canadian schoolchild’s education during the 1970s and early 1980s. Though it's been over 25 years since I have seen these public service type announcements, the theme music and narrator's voice transported me to a long since forgotten time. In some ways, it's a shame that these segments are not periodically aired on the CBC or even TVO. Perhaps I am somewhat of a zealot, but I would be very pleased if these clips superseded or at least supplemented upcoming movie trailers at my local Cineplex, it might encourage some of the fans of 'Reality TV' to experience the essence of authenticity: our natural world. We must be in the frozen grip of January if I am jotting about the National Film Board of Canada. If anyone is interested in viewing these clips, simply click on the enclosed link, I am particularly fond of the segments dedicated to the Loon and Beaver:
