Day of rest....

For the second weekend in a row, I've decided to stay home in an effort to dedicate some time to a freelance assignment I have been working on ~ in a nutshell, I'm creating an interactive / multimedia copy of a written proposal and 'Risk Management' manual using Macromedia Flash and Adobe Distiller. In some ways, it's a shame that much of my current involvement with visual art is inextricably tied to technology; though the power of visual images has been observed since the dawn of literary civilization, I contend that computer technology has unfortunately allowed the realm of visual arts to be more accessible, and that has perhaps spawned a modern generation of work where the concepts of process and symbolism are not readily apparent. While on the subject of 'art', please note that I have added two links to my page ~ they are also 'blogs' related to angling, though the ideas presented in each example are highly developed, interesting, and quite unconventional. In my view, it is difficult to find thought-provoking subject matter relating to angling in the digital world, hence I would encourage all readers to spend some time looking at the aforementioned links.

All things being equal, I look forward to sharing some more photographs soon, as I plan on logging some more hours on a cold, gray stream during the Easter Holidays.....

I did check my 'Sitemeter' statistics today ~ 8,193 views (since Nov. 05), which would seem to indicate that this little slice of cyberspace is similar to 'Beverly Hills 90210' ~ many view it, but few would readily admit to doing so. For the record, I never watched the show.....
